Located in the chic 7th arrondissement of Paris, the Rodin Museum is a true haven of peace in a congested and stressed capital. Next to the beautiful golden dome of les Invalides, the museum and its garden stand proudly among the ministries and embassies of the district and offer an intimate and protected place of the city for a romantic and cultural escape.

Built in the 18th century, the Biron Hotel was originally a townhouse and pleasure house with gardens already considered at the time among the most beautiful and renowned in the capital. After having had multiple owners throughout history, the Biron Hotel opened up to artists at the beginning of the 20th century, including the installation of Rodin’s workshops in 1908 and officially became the Rodin Museum in 1919. Today, the museum houses a large collection of sculptures as well as drawings and photographs, the result of Rodin’s work but also from his personal collections. Refurbished since 2015, the mansion offers a superb route amidst the sculptures of Auguste Rodin and Camille Claudel allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the soul of the place.

But the real favorite for this place is of course the french garden of the museum which stretches over three hectares and offers an elegant and romantic walk. On sunny days, many Parisians come to the Rodin Museum to enjoy the garden with its rose garden, its large lawn floor and its pond. And what a pleasure to walk through the aisles of this garden combining nature and culture ! Extending the museum’s exhibition, the garden highlights Rodin’s monumental sculptures on the visitor’s journey. Famous ones such as the Thinker, the Gate of Hell or the Burghers of Calais and others less known. The garden also offers a nice little coffee for a break or lunch on the go. One of the nicest places in Paris to have a coffee!

A rare place in the capital to visit absolutely. Ideal for a romantic stroll or for a gallant first date. Note that the museum offers an original idea for Valentine’s Day with a night walk in the garden and museum around the theme of love with music and softened lights.
Lovers, to your luggage !
